SCD and SC2000 are superb for installing multiple windows 98/95 partitions and systems on one disk and thus for backup reasons. Although SC2000 costs money, it makes your life with linux and NT/2000 a lot easier: you can boot linux and NT/2000 on the same machine as lilo can, but also make, format resize and copy linux partitions with all the data on it (and NT and w98/95 partitions)!! VMware Converter won't even install on the Win98 PC. (Yeah I know that Win98 isn't fully supported by Converter.) Hot or cold clone the Win98 PC to an external USB drive, import clone to a Fusion VM on the Mac. This software installation and its data files are highly customized such that reinstalling and reconfiguring from scratch would be. It's currently on a physical PC whose contents I want to run as a VM under Fusion on an iMac. We have some obsolete and proprietary software that won't run on anything newer than Win98.
